I wanted to start this course off by getting you in the correct head space. I think the only way you can be confident when posing clients, or just in your work in general is to under stand your "why". I'll be going over how to connect your work to yourself, as well as how to look for inspiration consciously.
If you want your posing to feel effortless, you need to know how to read your client. In this chapter we’ll talk about how to learn about your client while you’re working with them, and how to prepare in a way that lets you understand them long before you ever lift your camera. You’ll also hear from Hannah Kutner of Wild Faith Photo as we chat about her process for getting to know clients and setting the tone before a session even begins.
One of the best ways to learn is to simply observe. That’s why I’m bringing you with me to four hours of real shooting across eight different sessions. You’ll see everything from couples to female portraits so you can watch how I move, direct, and adjust in the moment.
This chapter is all about the things that should shape the way you pose your clients. In a little over ninety minutes, I’ll walk you through composition, overshooting, and what I personally do when my mind goes blank in the middle of a session.
This is an hour of me going through every piece of my gear that I use on a regular basis. I will walk you through what my main pieces are, and also go into my organization process for large shoots and wedding days. I show you how I keep my film organized and always ready to go so I am never without a roll!
What started as a simple interview with Peyton for the course turned into a two hour creative brainstorm. I couldn’t bring myself to cut it down because there are so many solid nuggets in it. Think of this as something you can listen to podcast style. Put it on while you clean or edit and just let it flow in the background.
This is an additional shoot I decided to include from a bridal session in Joshua Tree. My mindset and approach are the same as when I first released The Intuitive Posing Course, but my style has evolved. That’s the biggest reason I wanted to create an updated version. This session leans a little more structured and editorial, and I think it shows how growth can shape the way you direct and create.
A bundle of five PDFs and fifty five pages packed with value that you can move through at your own pace. Inside you’ll find a brand new Posing Pocketbook 2.0 with twelve poses I use at almost every session, a posing flow guide with five flows to help your poses fit together naturally, my full gear list with links, ten grounding affirmations for before you shoot, and twenty questions for creative reflection.
